African music has been influencing club culture the world over since it’s very beginnings, and this documentary shot in Ghana by Italian collective Crudo Volta aims to explore just how the music coming out of African countries is still having an effect on DJs and producers. Hosted by Brendan “Hagan” Opoku-Ware – a British born producer of Ghanian descent – the documentary follows him as he interviews key players in the Ghanian music scene such as Gafacci and Rvdical The Kid, and explores the impact his heritage has had on his musical career and UK club culture.
