Korean-American producer Yaeji made this anime-style music video for her lethargic anthem Waking Up Down.

The artist is known for her music vids that celebrate her Korean background. Although anime is a Japanese invention, South Korea has produced a lot of great series as well. In this vid, we see Yaeji transported into a cartoon world with her pet dog. She’s struggling to get her daily tasks done here and feels a bit rubbish. But with the help of a few friends, she manages to get organised and finish everything off.

It’s a cool piece of work from the artist. More and more musicians are using animation in their music videos nowadays. It lets them present the ideas behind the track in a whole new way. It’s a trend that we’re super keen on and hope more people follow in the footsteps of Yaeji in the future. Did you enjoy the video? Are you a fan of Yaeji? Let us know down in the comments below.
