Generic stock-footage gets used to humorous effect in the latest advert from Xbox for their on-demand Game Pass service.
Presenting the service as a way of adding value to your life, the advert uses all the stereotypical stock-footage you would see in a low-budget advert for medication – a woman gazing forlornly out of a window, a doctor holding up some pills – all of which has been edited with graphics (and klaxons of course) to increase the dramatic effect.

The advert does present some actual footage of some of the games that can be played through the service as well as the stock images, but the majority of the video is a distinctly meme-y and tongue in cheek mashup of video clips.
