WWF – Montagne D’or.

This powerful video released by the WWF is the promotional video for the #stopmontagnedor campaign. The organisation is protesting against the proposed development of a gold mine in the forests of French Guiana by a consortium of multinational corporations, which will result in a pit the size of 32 Stade de France’s being made in an area full of protected species and have untold consequences on the environment. The dark and moody video shows a man running desperately against a tide of miners, explosions and clouds of dust, before the facts and figures about the campaign are presented to the viewer.
