English football team Wolverhampton Wanderers surprised a 100 year old fan who’s been supporting the club since the 1930s.
For Alf’s 100th birthday, the guys at Wolves TV organised a special treat for him. Wolves legends John Richards, Willie Carr and Ted Farmer came to Alf’s house and took him over to the team’s training ground. There, he met some top players like Rueben Neves, Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez. When most of these players were born, Alf was already in his late seventies.
To top it all off, manager Nuno Esperito Santo presents Alf with a birthday cake at the end. The birthday boy looks over the moon. He’s especially pleased to see the manager and congratulates him on giving Wolves their best domestic and European performance in decades. Alf has seen all of the ups and downs of the team whilst being a fan. He started supporting the West Midlands side at the age of 11 and has seen them crowned champions of England, dip down to the third tier and rise back up to play European football. On top of that, he’s seen a staggering 29 managers come and go over the years.
