Wheelchair tennis champion Dylan Alcott relives his amazing journey in sport with Nike in this short doc.
Dylan was born with a tumor surrounding his lower back. Doctors were able to remove it in surgery, but this resulted in him being paralysed from the waist down. Some people would see this as a setback, but Dylan was determined to still live his life to the fullest. He says in the doc that he wants to show us that people in wheelchairs can live just as fulfilled lives as people who don’t need one.
The athlete has got a huge personality and lights up any room that he’s in. He wants to inspire people with disabilities to make the most out of any opportunities that they get. He’s a huge fan of music as well and even helped to set up Ability Fest, a music festival aimed at bringing able bodied and disabled music fans together. Dylan’s attitude and inspiring take on things is awesome to see. He’s a pioneering activist and a super talented sportsman. We love this doc from Nike.
