The animators at Sky Arts then got to work, creating a beautiful animation around Evaristo’s voice.
It’s a stunning, hand-painted style with some wonderful transitions and filled with colour, matching the lyrical words of Bernadine Evaristo. And if you haven’t read her Booker Prize-winning novel yet, you need to jump on that straight away. It’s incredible.
