Wham re-released the music video for Last Christmas in stunning 4K quality.
We all love watching christmas music videos around this time of year, but some of them… some of them have not aged well. The vids are grainy and are pretty poor quality by today’s standards. But Wham’s record label has managed to bring the 80s anthem Last Christmas into 2019 by making the classic christmas vid HD quality. It’s actually really impressive. The video looks like it could’ve easily come out this year.
In fact, it’s a little jarring, because it actually does look like its a modern music video, but the fashion is so “80s”. It looks like everyone has come to a 80s themed fancy dress party. We’re pretty blown away by this video though. Could it spark a trend in “modernising” iconic christmas vids? We have to admit, there’s something a bit nostalgic about the old and grainy video quality that we do like but seeing this HD version as well.
