In one of the most boundary-pushing uses of virtual reality to date, TIME magazine have collaborated with Felix & Paul Studios to create a series of virtual reality documentaries on board the International Space Station.

 

Culminating in the first ever virtual reality space walk, the films will give viewers an extraordinary insight into what life is like over 400 km above the Earth’s surface. The trailer gives us an idea of some of the stunning space footage you can expect to see (as long as you have the hardware), and talks a little bit about the technical challenges of filming virtual reality footage in space.
