Ten years is a seriously long time to spend on a project, but the results of animator Bret Foxwell’s stop-motion epic Fabricated speak for themself…

Taking place in some bizarre other world where creatures are created from metallic parts and animal skulls, the film follows the creation and ultimate demise of a T-Rex type monster with wings as it encounters all kinds of weird and wonderful creations.

The animation and camera work are simply sublime, with the fight scenes between the creatures turning into bizarre Planet Earth-style battles. The sound design just serves to add to the sense of weirdness, with creatures noises suitably metallic to match.
