This shocking and powerful documentary from The Guardian explores one young man’s experience of growing up with racism in the UK.

Presented as an interview interspersed with dramatic reconstructions of what is being described, Black Sheep introduces us to Cornelius Walker, whose life was turned upside down when his mother moved him out of London in late 2000 in an attempt to keep him safe from violence.

Instead of being safer, Cornelius found himself being pulled into a violent lifestyle where he had to fit in to survive, compromising his own identity as a black person in order to remain a part of the group. Walker’s testimony would be powerful enough on its own, but coupled with the dramatic reconstructions of the events in his life, this documentary will leave you shocked and scared in equal measure.
