VVVR (Visual Voice Virtual Reality) is a project that has combined the technology of Virtual Reality with audio effects to create an experience that is somewhere between a game and a work of art. “Players” take part in pairs, sitting opposite each other and using sounds to beam abstract shapes at each other in the virtual world. This video looks into the philosophy behind the project by talking to its inventors, who themselves admit that they don’t really know if it counts as a game or not, but explain some of the amazing reactions to VVVR that they have seen from its participants, and how the platform could potentially expand in the future.
