There’s been various articles that have pointed out how it could be used for nefarious purposes in the future. But things are accelerating faster than we thought. In this doc, we learn how facial recognition is already making huge changes to basic ideas about individual privacy.

We see scary demonstrations of how this tech could be used by everyday people to find out exactly who you are, where you live and where you work all by using nothing but an image of your face. Although Google hasn’t turned this feature on yet, Yandex, Russia’s biggest search engine already has. There are lots of other ways that facial recognition could be abused in the future as well and it could totally remove our right to obscurity. Could this spell the end for everyday privacy?
