Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton ditches his car and picks up a drone to do some epic racing with Vodafone.

Since drones became popular, international racing leagues have popped up. Here, people race their devices around courses to see who will come out on top. They use VR headsets to control the drones, which makes it feel like they are actually sat inside them, whipping around tracks at top speeds. It’s a combination of loads of exciting new tech. It’s a sport that like nothing we’ve seen before.

Racing pro Lewis has a go at using them but he can’t manage to keep up. Hmm, looks like he needs to get a bit more practice in. Vodafone tells us how their new 5G tech should get drone lovers very excited. Their new masts will increase the range they can use massively and could potentially allow retailers to ship packages via drone across the UK. There’s a myriad of other ways that 5G will change our day to day lives, from getting faster internet speeds on our phones to using autonomous cars, the possibilities are endless.
