Unmute Daniel is a technological campaign made in partnership with the Singapore Children’s Society and Shazam that aims to raise awareness about cyber-bullying and the effects it can have on young children from an early age. Daniel represents the 50% of children who experience cyber-bullying but tell no one about it, either through fear or shame. Setting up some screen around the city featuring Daniel sat being quiet, users could use the Shazam app to pick up inaudible sound waves the screen were emitting, which would then prompt the app to play Daniel’s story, effectively giving him a voice.
