The Nose (also known as El Capitan) is a legendary rock face in the Yosemite Valley of California, and recently the world record for its ascent was beaten in a time that is actually mind boggling. This short film by Tristan Greszko documents the ascent by climbers Brad Gobright and Jim Reynolds, filming the whole climb in one continuous time-lapse as the two of them scurry up the side of the vast wall. The video’s name references the end time of the climb (2 hours, 19 minutes and 44 seconds), which is all the more impressive when you consider the first ever successful climb of the rock face took over 45 days…
