This funny but brutal advert by video game retailer Game advertises their trade-in services by acknowledging that sometimes the memories attached to an object aren’t worth as much as the game itself. The short advert sees a father handing over a game to his son, explaining how in order to pay for it his father had to take on a second job, leading to his parent’s eventual divorce and “sending him to an early grave”. The gravitas of the game’s history doesn’t seem to be lost on son, at least until we see him the next second strolling into his local Game branch to trade it in. It’s savage, but we can’t blame the kid at all.
