This video from filmmaker and animator Dan Castro was made in conjunction with Sara Jamshidi’s Independent Iranian Stamp Committee project, looking at charting the history of internal and external perception of the country through postage stamps.

Using the stamps themselves as frames in the video, Castro groups them together in terms of their subject matter, style and colour to create a quick-fire stop-motion effect. You can read more about the Iranian Stamp Project here.
