Film makers Candice et Jean-Emmanuel made this beautiful short film where they explore the largest city in New Zealand, Auckland.

The metropolis is known for its great culture, interesting history and strong connection to nature. In this video, we get to see some of the green landscapes that encompass the city. But the main focus on the film is about Aucklanders themselves. They are the beating heart of the city. Whether it’s through their art, music, ideas or through sport, Aucklanders pour their heart and soul into the place that they call home.

We also get to see some traditional Maori tattooing. The indigenous people of New Zealand have a proud tradition of tattooing and body painting that goes back thousands of years. On the streets of Auckland today, you’ll still see plenty of people with traditional face and arm tattoos. It’s an important part of Kiwi culture that’s celebrates all around the country. The film is an amazing love letter to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Auckland might not be as well known as London, New York or Tokyo, but this film proves that it can hold its own against the big names.
