The Hand Of India by Simon Mulvaney is a short film that gives us a look into the beauty and culture of modern India.

The film takes us to loads of locations around India. We get to see the sights and sounds of the amazing country. Not only that, but we also see some of the traditional events and festivals like Holi and Diwali. The film also looks at the soul of the country, at what makes India India and Indians Indians.

Playing over the top of the video is a recording of a speech by the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. She tells us how modern India is moving forward to give more equality to more of its citizens. It’s a celebration of an ancient country that has been through hard times but has also created some of the best artists, cuisine and music in the world. Simon Mulvaney is known for his incredible films and this one has to be one of the best ones that he’s done so far.
