A competition like Wimbledon is steeped in history and tradition, but there’s one aspect of the tournament that you might not be fully aware of which is explained in this fantastically made short animation.
Wimbledon’s Ticket Re-Sale Scheme has been running since 1954, and is more than just a way for tennis fans to get a seat on centre court – the scheme has raised over £3 million for various charitable causes that help veterans, emergency services, the homeless and more.

This video, produced by McCann London, explains how the scheme works and the ways in which it helps those in need through a beautifully drawn stop-motion animation on actual old tickets from the competition. The video is all done in one smooth motion, and the animation features incredible transitions and movement between scenes which illustrate the voice-over.
