Salomon brings us this thrilling short film where one ski climber looks to summit 100 mountain peaks, all without using any fossil fuels.

Most people don’t really think about the connection between mountaineering and fossil fuels. Although there’s not much CO2 emitted once you start climbing, the transport there can be a big source of pollution. Most climbers use big, petrol-guzzling 4x4s to get to their destinations. They’re also frequent fliers, as the biggest peaks are in far away locations like Nepal. In this doc, we meet Greg Hill AKA “Electric Greg” who’s trying to find a more sustainable way to tackle big mountains.

First of all, he ditches his massive car and opts for a smaller, lighter electric vehicle. Next, he decides to tackle some mountains closer to home, reducing his carbon footprint even more. He goes on a CO2 free road trip and attempts to summit 100 peaks. Will he make it? Can he still follow his dream in a more sustainable way? Watch the thrilling doc and find out for yourself…
