What does a toy bunny do when it finds itself with a persistent cough? It seeks treatment. This is a stunning animation from pharmaceutical company Insmed, but you’d be forgiven for not knowing it was branded content until the last few frames.
The complex 3D animation – which is lit and rendered beautifully, by the way – tells the story of a toy bunny coming out of the factory and discovering it has a persistent cough. It journeys through the village seeking help, eventually ending up at a toy repair shop where it is taken in to be looked after.
The video ends with a statement from a (presumably) real-life patient warning of the dangers of ignoring a persistent cough, and directs people to information about NTM on an Insmed website.
The release of this message is interesting, as it coincides with another well-known affliction that also causes a persistent cough. You might have heard of it.
But either way, it’s an eye-catching animation with a surprising call to action, and if it makes a few people pay attention to their bodies for the better then we’re all in.
