The World Wildlife Fund made this powerful rap about the impact that humans are having on wild bird populations in Russia and around the world.

In this music vid, we follow various breeds of birds as they list off the dangers that they face every day. Worries about deforestation, pollution and hunting are some of the things that they tell us about. The video goes through loads of different art styles and types of animation, drifting from light and bright to dark and scary.

The track that plays is made up of different bird songs, making the whole thing feel even more impactful. The song is one of the releases to come out of Birds Records, a real record label set up in Russia that uses different birdsongs to create unique tracks. The non-profit organisation looks to raise awareness about bird depopulation around the world through music. It’s a really clever idea that shines a light on an important issue. The numbers of wild birds are rapidly dropping all over the world, so videos like this are more important than ever before.
