Tesco Malaysia have joined the fight against plastic waste in our oceans with a simple but novel idea – “The Unforgettable Bag”, which is explained by this cute animation featuring all kinds of ocean beasties. After giving some facts and figures about the sheer amount of plastic being dumped into the seas thanks to disposable shopping bags, they explain how by simply adding a barcode to their bags for life that gives shoppers a discount when it is scanned at the tills, they intend to help change the perception of the bag from something to be thrown away after one use into something that people will hang onto.
