In The Language of the Trees, journey into a sustainable Sandalwood plantation in Western Australia and meet Edward, one of the workers who nurtures the trees from sapling to lumber.

In this absolutely stunning documentary, we see the world through the eyes of someone who is entirely in touch with the land around him. His personal connection with trees and nature is infectious and beautiful.

Inspired by the fragrances of Le Labo, our friends at Nowness explain:

“As Miller guides us through the farm’s operations from seed to harvest, he explains that there are no boundaries between the plantation and the surrounding wilderness. The conscientious farmer also includes people in his idea of interconnectedness as he asserts we can commune with nature once we see ourselves as part of it. “

“The Language of the Trees is a moving portrait of just one of the many treasured craftspeople who bring Le Labo’s vision of a hand-picked and handmade world to life.”

We couldn’t have put it better ourselves.

It’s an incredible video with absolutely beautiful cinematography that come to life with Edward’s mesmerising voiceover. We’ll definitely be featuring more of the director’s work on this page so stay tuned.
