Death and taxes. The two things that we are all guaranteed to experience, right? But what if there was a way to avoid dying and live forever? In this documentary, The Guardian are meeting the people who are trying to find a cure for death.

They travel to RAADfest, an annual festival where scientists and thinkers gather to discuss ideas on how life can be preserved for much, much longer then it is now. But don’t be mistaken, these aren’t doctors who’re looking to keep people going on for a few more years, these people are looking for one thing and one thing only. Immortality.

Although scientists don’t think we’re near to beating death, the people here insist that we’re closer than ever before to the goal of living forever. The doc finds out about some of the theories and ideas that could lead to us extending our lives for much longer. But more widely at the festival the overarching message is one of aspiration. The takeaway they want attendees to leave with is that cheating death isn’t a far away dream, but in fact an inevitability.
