The New Zealand national rugby team, known as the All Blacks, featured in this stirring short film where they discuss their relationships and heartbreaks that they’ve had over the years.

For men in their position, it’s not typical to talk about their feelings or be honest about what’s on their mind. One particular issue that men can struggle to talk about is relationships. Sometimes it can be hard to open up and reveal to your partner how you’re feeling. When relationships end, blokes can find it especially hard and it’s made worse when they feel like they’ve got no one to talk to about it.

It’s the latest video in the All Blacks’ “Being Men” series. Rugby attracts athletes that are a lot tougher than most, but the New Zealand Rugby Union wants to show fans that players can be tough on the field, but can have weaknesses when they’re not playing. No one’s perfect and sometimes members of the team struggle to cope with day-to-day life. Intimate videos like these reminds us that it’s OK not to be OK.
