TED – the learning platform behind TED Talks – have released this funny short video exploring the concept of a “millennial” generation of AI robots. The short is titled AI Therapy, and sees a third-generation Artificial Intelligence that has now taken on human form suffering from that most human of problems – “privilege”. Where the AI’s before him cured cancer and re-froze the Arctic, Archie spends half the year in Bali and has his own line of toe-rings and as a result is suffering from depression. The short is brilliantly acted and keeps its tongue firmly in-cheek, with the colour scheme matching the futuristic robes of the characters to add to this weird, twisted vision of the future where bots require time to talk about their life-goals.
