Director Mischa Rozema pitched an idea to a movie studio for a feature-length film, and was told to come back with a proof of concept short to display his ideas. The resulting 14 minute long film Sundays was funded by Kickstarter (costing 50,000 dollars in total to make), and features visuals so mind-blowing Rozema had three different studios vying for the rights to the full-length version after the short was finished. Shot in Mexico City and featuring insane special effects from Rozema’s VFX company PostPanic Pictures, Sundays is 14 minutes of sci-fi that’s better than most full length attempts at the genre.
