Singer Lee Ann Womack released this charming stop-motion music video for her song Hollywood. It follows animated Barbie and Ken dolls as they take a road trip across the US. The two dolls have a long journey to make, as they aim to get all the way over to Hollywood on the West Coast.

It’s beautifully made, with the animators making the plastic dolls really feel alive. They do an amazing job of conveying the emotions and conflict within the story, despite the fact that the dolls can’t make any facial expressions. It’s absurd and astounding all at the same time!

The video does an excellent job of bringing us into the doll’s world, and make it feel very immersive. There’s no dialogue in the video, but you can sense that there is some tension between the two main characters. By the end though , they seem to have made a breakthrough and we get the sense that they’re at peace with each other. It’s a really nice watch and shows us how creative you can get with stop-motion animation.
