Comedy legend Steve Coogan stars in the satire Greed, where he plays a megalomaniac retail billionaire.
He’s the boss of a massive fashion label that’s under intense scrutiny for dodgy workmanship, funny finances and petty penny-pinching. Basically, Coogan’s character is everything that’s wrong with capitalism. He echoes the real life “bad boys” of retail, like Mike Ashley and Sir Phillip Green.

In this trailer, we’re taken into his world. It’s filled with big yachts, crazy parties and huge extravagance. He’s in the process of hosting a Fyre Festival-ish party in Greece in order to restore his reputation. It’s hinted to us in the promo that things go very wrong very quickly. It looks to be another great satire from the mind of Micheal Winterbottom, who brought us the thrilling political documentary The Emperor’s New Clothes, starring Russell Brand. This film also looks to show us the gross inequalities in the society and reveal the worst practices done by those at the very top of society although Micheal is sure to inject his signature wit and dark humour into this project.
