Stella Artois released this classic cartoon ad for the Australian Open.

In it, we see a group of people all sitting down and taking a breather between games. Although the tennis players on the court are out of action, the group here are just about to have their first serve. First serve of beer that is. As the waiter comes over with their drinks, they all sit back in enjoyment in the sunshine, as they gear up for a relaxing afternoon of watching some of the best athletes in the world at play.

The animation in this advert is really stunning and is really nicely put together. It feels like something out of an old-school travel film. We’re really loving this promo. It’s the latest in Stella’s efforts to reimagine themselves as a high-end, quality beer. It’s a step away from their jokier, more risque ads from the past. Did you enjoy the video? What did you make of it? Is this the future of beer advertising? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
