SOS Children’s Villages released this powerful short film about the issue of child abandonment called #ISeeYou.
In it, we see parents annoying their kids. Sometimes they’re making dress up in silly costumes, ruffling their hair or wiping dirt off their faces. It’s the kind of stuff that bugs you when you’re a young kid. But then, the appeal takes a more serious tone. It shows us what it would be like if we had no parents at all.

It shows us children that have been left on their own. They have to cook for themselves, look after themselves and travel on dangerous and risky journeys on their own. The message is that sometimes parents can be annoying, but when they’re not there, it can seriously damage a child’s life. This video from SOS was made by the branded content agency Nemorin. It’s a really interesting video that was shot in various locations around the globe. It does a great job of showing the widespread issue of child abandoned across the world.
