Anyone who has ever worked in telecommunications will be able to empathise with the comedy behind the upcoming feature film Sorry To Bother You. In the trailer we are treated to the basic premise – Cassius Green is struggling with his job in a call-centre before he discovers that by doing a “white voice” he improves his performance stupendously, propelling his career forward and getting him into the inner circle of the shady world of telephone sales. The trailer is packed with little jokes and references, and gives us a hint of the weird visuals in the film, such as Green being sat at the table with the family he is on the phone to, or inches away from a guy on the toilet.
