Ryan Reynolds creates an adception in this video. It’s three ads in one. His new Netflix movie, a Samsung TV and his own gin brand are all advertised in this promo. Talk about multi-tasking.

The video begins with Ryan telling the viewer that his new movie, 6 Underground is so good, that you’ll want to watch it on the best TV screen around. What TV screen would that be, I hear you ask? Well, it’s the Samsung QLED TV of course. Whilst he’s telling us this, the image on the TV behind him changes to his alcohol brand, Aviation Gin.

The director yells cut and asks Ryan why on earth his ad is playing on the screen. Ryan tells the director that he paid for mid-roll advertising and thought it would be a good idea to run a commercial for his gin brand, even if it would be extremely confusing for the audience. The exasperated director gives up and lets the ad run. It’s a funny promo that embraces the overstuffed nature of the ad industry. We’re not too sure whether we’ve just been tricked into watching 3 commercial in one though. Hmm, you win this round, Ryan.
