The food industry is under increasing pressure from consumers to be more transparent about the processes involved to actually get food to the supermarket shelves. Netflix’s new documentary Rotten, airing January 5th, looks to expose the cost cutting, fraud and corruption that is rife within the global food industry. The documentary will surely be a lot to digest, and some might find it hard to swallow, but it will certainly give us some food for thought in the future (sorry everyone).
