Prince Harry and Ed Sheeran teamed up to write a song about mental health in this quirky short video.
Ed arrives at Harry’s house, ready to get down to some songwriting. The two talk about how they need to make a song that’ll reach out to people who’re feeling distressed or left out. They sit and brain storm some ideas but then it’s revealed that they’re not quite on the same page…
It turns out that Ed came thinking that the distressed, left out and lonely people they were going to be writing the song for felt that way because they were ginger. Basically, Ed wants to unite two of the world’s most powerful gingers, himself and Prince Harry, to take on prejudice and abuse that gingers face every day. Harry quickly points out that this isn’t the case and that they’re there to make a song about mental health. Ed laughs and acts like he was joking around. Meanwhile, we see him hastily delete a word doc with the title “Gingers Unite!”. It’s a great little promo that talks about the serious issue of mental health in a funny and entertaining way.
