Posts Into Letters is a new organisation that aims to harness the momentum of social media activism in a more tangible, physical way. Joaquin Oliver was one of 15 students killed in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida – his father Manuel donated examples of his handwriting that were used to create a typeface which is then used to physically write out social media posts pertaining to gun reform and send them as letters to congress, something which is much harder to ignore. 96% of government officials say that handwritten letters are the best way to influence policy, and now the letters will be flooding in from one of the victims of the shooting itself in a bid to send a powerful message.
