The Guardian takes a look into how plastic is killing the Galapagos Islands. It’s one of the most picturesque places to go on Earth, but it’s seen a huge rise in the amount of plastic washing up on its shores in recent years.

 

It’s deadly for the island’s delicate ecosystem and is almost impossible to contain. Despite committed clean-up efforts, no one can keep on top of the rubbish, with it threatening every aspect of life on the island.
