Fan favourite Peep Show character Superhans stars in the music video for Saturday, the latest single from singer Sam Fender.

Well, at least the actor who plays him does. Matt King takes on the role of a disgruntled support act who has his show cancelled so that Sam Fender and his band can put on a performance. At first, he watches on grumpily, unhappy about his spot being taken. But as the band plays, he’s taken over by the music and can’t help but dance. He looks like a human puppet, as his body shifts unnaturally to the music.

But he gets into it a bit more and soon enough, he’s fully thrown himself into his dance routine. He gets so excited that he runs out outside, onto the brightly lit streets of Peckham. After doing a bit more dancing and running around, he goes back into the club where Sam’s playing to see the finale of his performance. It’s a brilliant music vid from this band. It’s a unique concept for a video and they execute it perfectly. Matt King does a great job of playing an excited partygoer who’s chuffed that it’s finally Saturday night.
