Patagonia are creating totally new items of clothing by using nothing but old clothes. Find out how in this awesome documentary.

In the video, we go inside some of the brand’s factories. We see how they’ve partnered with Suay Sew Shop to create clothes that are made entirely out of previously used items. The way it works is that people donate their old items of clothing to Patagonia that have been broken or damaged over the years. Then, segments of them are used to create new pieces of clothing from scratch. This massively reduces the carbon footprint that would’ve been created by putting it in a landfill or incinerating it.

It’s part of a wider push by Patagonia to try and make sure that their clothes are as eco-friendly as possible. As well as introducing clothes that are recycled this up-cycling move also helps them to achieve that goal. It’s a cool doc and idea that shows us how some companies are coming up with innovative ways to combat the climate crisis. Kudos to Patagonia for making caring for the planet look really cool.
