You might have visited the city of Paris, but you’ve definitely never seen it quite like this video…

This short video from motion designer Guy Trefler takes footage of famous statues, iconic buildings and even people and adds playful animated elements to them, creating a series of bizarre Monty Python-esque encounters with the different aspects the city is famous for.

The video takes us on a cultural tour of the city, looking at food, culture, history and more, all using the bizarre character effects and cheeky animated additions to the monuments to give things a bit more edge.

The video was created by Trefler but also features some incredible sound design from Snowstar Company. You can check out more of Trefler’s work on his Vimeo page here.
