This anti-drink driving advert from New Zealand combines a serious message with their renowned style of deadpan humour. In it we a young man see his mate about to drive home after drinking at a party. He then in his own words starts “internalising a really complicated situation”, imagining all the things he’ll have to do if his mate dies in a crash. We see him having to hang out with his family, being called stupid by his mates and most importantly of all, being unable to accept the “ghost chips” his dead friend offers him whilst haunting him every day.
