This is about as bleak a skate video as you will ever see – Northbound is a film that follows four Scandinavian skaters who travel up to the Norwegian coast in mid-winter to skate on the frozen sand of the beaches there. The hard surface is surprisingly conducive, and the four use the environment to their full advantage, using an abandoned boat, oil cans and even constructing a half-pipe out of the sand to show off their skills.
