Nike takes us on a tour of London’s richest borough for the kit launch promo for the soccer team Chelsea FC.
Comedian Omid Djalili walks us through the sights and sounds of Chelsea. He takes us for a stroll along the famous King’s Road and tells us just what it means to be a Chelsea native. He tells us it’s about style, success and swagger. Omid also tells us about the borough’s thriving music scene. He reminds us of some classic 60s bands that are from here as well a few modern artists too.
The ad ends with a reveal of Chelsea FC’s stylish away kit for next season. The kit embodies all of the style of the west London borough. The design is a neat, white polo, befitting of a fashion-savvy local. This year, lots of sports brands have been putting more time and money into their soccer kit reveals. It makes sense as, at the moment, English teams are dominating international competitions. A bigger audience means bigger (and better) ads. We’re enjoying seeing footy teams get more ambitious and try new things in their advertising campaigns.
