There’s nothing worse than picking up a bad knock that puts you out of action, but Nike tells us in this ad that their new shoes could make injuries history.

They show us how they’re looking to create a shoe like no other. Most injuries are caused by the movement that happens whilst you strike your foot on the ground, so Nike are looking at ways to focus all of their attention on the most vulnerable part of the foot. If they can make sure that the ankle is as supported as much as possible, they can ensure that the risk of injury is reduced to zero.

It’s one thing to talk the talk, but can they walk the walk? To prove their new sneaker is better than ever, they get a bunch of people to train for a half marathon. Some of the runners are wearing older Nike sneaks, whilst others are wearing the flashy new models. The runners in the new shoes saw a far lower rate of injury. So they’ve not completely got rid of the risk of injury, but they’re definitely getting closer…
