Nike gets in the mood for Chinese New Year with this funny ad about the practice of giving family members red envelopes filled with money around this season.

In Chinese culture, typically elder family members will give their nieces, nephews, granddaughters and grandsons money in red envelopes. Although it’s a really common thing to do and happens every year, the younger recipients will wryly try and deny the gift and will pretend to be “forced” into receiving it. It’s a funny routine and most families know that it’s a bit of a facade. But what if the kids started taking it really seriously? What if they went to all kinds of lengths to avoid taking the money?
