This brilliant documentary by Vice explores the home-grown action-movie scene in Uganda, focusing on the Wakaliwood studio responsible for creating films with insane special effects, stunts and violence. The documentary shows how the people behind the films come up with ingenious methods of filming despite the incredibly low budgets, creating props from old motorcycles and using cow’s blood and flour to recreate blood and gore.
