This incredible documentary explores the use of technology in the trial of Reinhold Hanning, in what may end up being the last WWII Nazi prosecution. It was the first trial to use virtual reality as part of the prosecution’s evidence, with forensic VR engineers recreating the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp to show the jury just what Hanning would have been able to see during his time as an SS guard at the camp. The documentary features fascinating interviews with the people responsible for hunting down the elderly Nazis, as well as the people behind the technology that was used in the trial.
